Republican Association "Belsemena"

In accordance with legislative acts, the Republican Association "Belsemena" together with state bodies and other state organizations carries out organizational functions of state administration in the field of seed production of agricultural crops, coordinates the production of original and elite seeds of agricultural plants in the volumes required for seed production of agricultural plants of the Republic of Belarus.

• Meeting the needs of agricultural enterprises in high-quality seeds and planting stock of all agricultural plants.
• Representation of interests of organizations in the field of seed production of agricultural plants.
• Assisting in the accelerated introduction of new varieties of crops in production, including foreign breeding.
• Work with seed producers in the direction of improving the quality of seeds produced, observing regulations and technologies for seed production, improving the universal and specialized material and technical base.

• Assisting seed producers in increasing exports of seeds and planting material.
• Import substitution, work to further increase the production of corn seeds, legumes, cereals, perennial grasses and seeds of other demanded agricultural plants for the full needs of agricultural enterprises.
• Further establishing equal cooperation with leading seed breeding companies.
• Wholesale of seeds and planting material.
• Prediction of market conditions and participation in the formation of the necessary assortment of seeds.
• Further development of a strong motivational mechanism for seed producers.
• Promotion in variety testing of other countries of domestic varieties and hybrids of agricultural crops with a view to their further introduction into production outside the republic.
